As you may have heard me say on the show, I'm an artist based in Chicago. My practice spans film, photography, events, and installation, often exploring race, social class, subcultures, and gender, usually with a humorous undercurrent. At the heart of it all is a fascination with how we connect and how our shared experiences, both universal and unique, shape who we are. I also work professionally in film and TV production, which keeps me close to the craft of people and their stories and spaces.
My work has been exhibited nationally and is held in public and private collections, including the Chicago Historical Society.
With 100+ candid conversations under its belt, noseyAF features artists, activists, entrepreneurs, and everyday people. The premise is simple: I'm curious about what people do, why they do it, whether I could do it too (LOL), and what wisdom might be useful in my own work and life.
The show started because there weren't enough artists I wanted to hear talking about their work. So, naturally, I decided to be the change I wanted to see. Plus, a love of Jerry Springer and Oprah means hosting a show gets to tickle my inner theater kid and the actor in me who mostly exists in my head.
There's also Artist Admin Hour, a coworking community where artists tackle the behind-the-scenes work of sustaining a creative practice together.
